Distracted DrivingTeen drivers might know texting while driving is dangerous, but nearly half admit to texting while driving anyway.

Teen (and older) drivers might know distracting driving is dangerous, but most drivers underestimate the risk not only to themselves, but to others. In fact, distracted driving is even more dangerous than drinking and driving. Texting (or otherwise distracted) drivers are twice as likely to cause a crash than in drinking.

Distracted driving accidents can happen to anyone. In 2009, more than half-a-million people were involved in distracted driving crashes and more than 5,500 people were killed.

The Internet education portal OnlineSchools.com researched and compiled findings from a number of sources to produce a detailed infographic on distracted driving dangers (H/T Sam Laird at Mashable):
